The Old House At Home, Withington

This pub has recently stopped the live entertainment which is a real shame as was a highlight especially the accoustic stuff on a Tuesday night. However it appears that they were not getting enough people in.

Although my nearest pub, it has now become very quiet most nights. Still shows the football and is good for a seat.

Three regular ales normally accompanied by a guest are "usually" of quite a high standard. Staff are friendly and no one stares at you for being a student.

The Orion, Withington

Any pub that provides three pints of beer for less than a fiver has got to be worth a visit.
