Shillibeers Brasserie Bar, Holloway

Awful, cavernous & soulless. Never anyone in there and it still takes 20 minutes to get served. Avoid...

The Lion and Unicorn, Kentish Town

Looks like the reception of a travelodge. Full of pushchairs and a way too expensive too. Shame as it's a good space and could be great.

The Assembly House, Kentish Town

Nice space. Was Great for the World Cup. Unfriendly and slow staff normally though. Frustrating....

The Oxford, Kentish Town

Consistently good food. Especially the Sunday roasts. Place let down by poor staff though. Rude, slow and arrogant seems to be a requirement. Otherwise it could and should be a nice pub...

Camden Head, Camden

Could be the best pub in Camden by a mile....................but it isn't....

What a waste of a perfect bar size and layout. Just seems like they can't be bothered to do anything with it. The doors are always open so it's freezing in there. The entrance is usually busy with pushchairs and people with shopping waiting for their other half to use the loo. The pool table is tiny and wonky, the satelite tv connection is appaling and jerky and the staff were ignoring everyone whlist a horrible 'camden casualty' staggered around hurling abuse at everybody in his eye line....

However, as i say...it could be great. The food was good and pretty cheap too.

The Pineapple, Kentish Town

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff who are always on the look out for people waiting to get served. Quite difficult to get to the bar through the army of regulars propping it up though. Thai food is cheap and very nice. Was excellent on New Years Eve last year too. Great to get a seat by the fire in winter or in the conservatory in summer. Very nice.....

The Bec Bar, Tooting Bec

Nice little bar. From the outside i thought, "uh-oh, pino grigio brigade"!!!
However, staff were friendly and efficient, food was good and the tv was on....
marvellous!

The Lord Stanley, Camden

Nice looking pub in a great location, but that's as far as it goes in terms of nice comments.... The staff are so stroppy and useless....The whole place is cold and soulless and you wait ages for the privelege of getting a drink. If you are not buying overpriced food, they don't want to know....annoying and total waste of what could be a great pub. 3 minute walk to the Torriano which is 10 times better. Do that!!

The Dover Castle, Marylebone

The Abbey, Kentish Town

Great food at a good price (especially with the genius that is the WEDGE CARD).
Good Garden for Summer.
Occasional decent live music of an evening.

However, cretinous bar staff that specialise in ignoring everyone whilst they text pals and fold napkins. Too many potentially pleasant sunday afternoons ruined by this to ever go back.

Sorry, you've had too many chances. ...

The George IV, Kentish Town

Great little boozer. Friendly staff and regulars. Marvellous for a natter and a cheap pint (or 2). Also good for watching football. It is a hidden gem indeed.
