New years eve 07/08, was a laugh. Agree the bar seemed understaffed but i didn't need to wait long at all. DJ played all my requests, and had a few dances with girls. Great place, but maybe i think that cos i had a great night. Still, i'd probably go again.

Not a bad place really, went here the night before new year, which must have been the quietest night southends ever seen. Cheap drinks, and a laugh watching the kareoke.

Not the greatest goose i've been to. Bar staff are good, but you get some right idiots drinking there. Especially the ones that decide to yell about spurs in your ear.

Its your usual wetherspoons. Cheap drink, decent food, and good service. Bar staff friendier than other wetherspoons though, which is a plus now i live in basildon.

Did the friday after halloween last year, great time was had, we all went in fancy dress, rather than 80s gear. Might even return in April for my birthday!

It's ok really. Not a huge fan of the place but its a decent little spot for an hour or 2 drinking before heading off to a club. One advantage is its not overcrowded, and the bar staff served me fast enough.

Right, first thing, drink prices. Its a wetherspoons so you know the score there, great prices. The pub itself is nice, long and spacious and the bar staff are quite good. Whether you're heading to the clubs after or just having a night down the pub, its a great place to drink.

Nice little pub, was 2 mins walk from the flat i lived at in Aveley. Actually serves Jagermeister at a cheap price, which is great.

The Prince of Teck, Earls Court
Went here just before christmas. packed to the rafters with my fellow iron maiden fans for the gig that night, but the staff were competent and the drinks were great and fairly priced for the area. and they had the new iron maiden album blaring out duo to most of the people in the pub heading to the gig after :)

A decent place, good pub area and a nice little music venue. taste of stella draught was awful last week. everything else was fine though. great place for gigs.

The Bloomsbury Tavern, Bloomsbury
Nice relaxing atmosphere, great before going to a gig in a tiny packed venue like the fly. or other venues like astoria, will visit again..

Being in manchester last weekend, and being told nothing but good things about this pub, also accompanied by one fella (jackrum who commented below) who'd enjoyed it before, i couldn't decline. Spent parts of friday, saturday, and sunday in there. Very good pub. Drinks are fairly priced, bar staff are polite and friendly enough, and very quick when it comes to serving. pool table too, always good. which takes us to the jukebox. its a good one, most of the CDs in there i enjoy, only been to a few pubs with jukeboxes like that. highly recommended pub. If i'm in manchester again soon i'll definitely pop in. alas, i'm in essex.

Bit strange this one, like the place, nice drinks and nice bar staff, got odd looks from the clientele, maybe its because i'm not a local haha.

I like this place, great for a pint or 2 before a gig in one of the areas many venues. of course this place has the great Underworld Venue below.. upstairs area is great though the skylights were open whilst it was raining, bad move haha.

Not a bad pub, strangely quiet for a saturday night when i went. drinks are decent price and quality too.

This pub is good again nice. used to love going there back in my college days about 4 years ago, when it was ford and firkin, then it went kind of crap after a while. but they've really picked the place up again.

I used to work down at MRB and this place was superb for pub lunches. drinks are a good price too, Staff are very courteous.

The Ledger Building, Canary Wharf
Jagerbulls, its all about the jagerbulls. but yes this is a nice big pub, prices are good for the area, but its a lloyds/JDW so good prices are to be expected. nice outside area where i've spent numerous nights in the summer, and i work in south quay, so its a nice place to unwind after work, only 10 mins walk away.

I went here in august for the first time, visiting a mate in reading. great DJs on the saturday night, who else could play municipal waste and meshuggah and get half the pub thrashing? drinks a good price too, and the jagermeister and cokes? superb.

Lovely pub, just about 5 mins from work. food is excellent, and has a great view of the river and the harbour

Nice gothic themed pub, great to spend time in before a gig at the astoria or fiddler. excellent cocktails

Ideal pub if you want a few cheap drinks before a gig at the academy. around �1.50 a pint, screens show either music vids or footie.

An alright pub, drinks aren't extortionately priced either.
I only really go in here when the footie is on though. most of the time there is no trouble here.

This a decent little wetherspoons.. gets a bit packed but when its not too crowded, its nice and relaxing. i'm local so its a nice place to unwind when i get back from work..

The Liberty Bounds, Tower Hill
Good pub for a couple of pints after work. Gets quite packed, but then what pub doesn't these days? I like it, and being a wetherspoons, you're getting cheaper food and drink than most other pubs.
