The Lockside Lounge, Camden

Staff were pretty rude, they messed a group of us around also and promised free stuff which never came. Otherwise the venue is quite good. A lot of couches etc and nice relaxed Camden atmosphere.

The Mucky Pup, Angel, Islington

This looks like a great place and was quite nice to drink in but their food really was a let down. Uber expensive for mouse size proportions. GIVE ME MORE!!! Quiz night also but expect the "locals" to make it less than enjoyable.

The Porterhouse, Covent Garden

Great place, excellent feeling, a wicked range of beers and certainly has that awesome bar feel!

The Old Swan Uppers, Cookham

Nice and newly refitted and a great old place to drink at. Friendly locals and a great environment!

Bel and The Dragon, Cookham

This place is nice but the food does cost a lot. Overall very nice staff and worth a visit but it don't come cheap. Good range of beer.

The Royal Standard of England, Beaconsfield

Pretty nice, hard to get a seat. The ghost theme is funny, can't say I had a stray hand touching me - alas. Otherwise all very nice.

The Hen and Chickens, Islington

Pretty mixed really. Too little room to move yet upstairs has an awesome little threatre etc which is really grand. Lots of great comedy up here etc which really gives this place a big boost.

The Firefly, Balham

Pretty nice, nothing too special but not bad either.

The Cider Press, Plymouth

oh my god. packed no room to move and full of nice cider. table dancing was also a good sport for some lasses and lads....interesting but like it all the same.

21 Nov 2005 15:43

The Walkabout, Plymouth

For sport was brilliant, full of TV screens. Seemed okay but that was during the day. Plenty of room in the place too!

21 Nov 2005 15:40

The Bull, Islington

Only been once but it seemed really good to me. Was cheapish and enough room to have a merry old time. Worth poking your head into for a beer.

21 Nov 2005 15:14

Bierodrome, Angel, Islington

Nice beer, nice staff and nice food. All up not too bad. Oh a nice fitout too!

21 Nov 2005 15:12

The Nobody Inn, Newington Green

The best burger in town! This is a nice little place, warm, comfy and great to have an ale or 10 in. Really worth visiting.

The Pitcher and Piano, Richmond

Bog standard here but pretty good. To be honest, it's a nice place with nothing bad or really good about it. Food nice.

The Hope, Richmond

Loved this place. Could do with a lick of paint but then again, the whole irish madness of the joint is fanfastic. great to watch the rugby at too. ola. all up not too bad.

The Albion, Barnsbury

Now open again, is really nicely done. food is good, beer lovely and it has a really nice feel to the whole place. nothing to w%ky here, just people minding their own business.

The Drapers Arms, Barnsbury

Super yummy food, a very nice and comfy pub, menu is fantastic, you do pay a bit more than you mike like but it's worth it. Staff very good too.

The Couch, Soho

Nice place, friendly staff, good seating and pretty relaxed. One to try

Context, Moorgate

Unlike previous people, loved this pub. Was good alround. Nothing too much to moan about, good bar snacks, nice wine list and the beer flowed freely all night.

14 Sep 2005 16:55

The Dolphin, Penzance

Not a bad wee pub, only popped in for a quick visit but had character and was good food!

19 Aug 2005 13:06

The Admiral Benbow, Penzance

Quite a funny we pub and one with plenty of odds and ends to look at! Food wasn't great but did the job, while the upstairs was worth it's weight in gold. Pretty good to go to with a group and just have a right old riot!

The Redback, Acton

Not bad if you want that "at home in Aussie or NZ" feel. If you like people watching this is your thing. Beer in plastic glasses was a shame but made up by the drinks specials.......hmmmm. Band on the night I went was average at time, horrid at others but all up a good night. Open nice and late too. None of this 11pm business.

18 Jul 2005 16:24

The Edinboro Castle, Camden

Awesome pub! Very good everything! Beer garden, food, staff, a wide range of drinks and great atmosphere! One to try for sure!

18 Jul 2005 16:08

The Victoria, Camden

Nice for a work lunch, good sunny area out the back. Food a bit on the pricey side.

18 Jul 2005 16:01

The York, Islington

A bit of an "old man's pub" with food that's okay and beer prices which arent too bad. Good for a change of somewhere to meet close to Angel tube station.

14 Jul 2005 16:39

The Pig and Butcher, Islington

Awesome food! Some of the best you will get from a pub and compared to others in Angel, not that bad on the wallet at all! Nice layout, friendly staff and all up a little beaut! Can't be arguing about this one at all!

14 Jul 2005 16:34

The Mitre, Islington

Pretty good for watching sport on TV. Also has some pretty good beer specials, not too bad overall.

14 Jul 2005 16:29

The Prince Albert, Notting Hill

Anything named after a dodgy piercing has to be bad and this was just the case. If you fancy getting in a fight with the bar staff about wine that was almost boiling, this is just the place. Rude staff, not friendly at all and totally crap. Wouldn't go there if i was paid or unless I wanted to be asked out back to "sort the matter out" with the manageress again. Really classy. Totally arrogant and unprofessional........then again, so is a Prince Albert.

27 Jun 2005 17:29

The Old Ship, Hammersmith

Looked okay wine was cheapish but too many w$%kers in it trying to be "cool". For sure. Staff were okay. But otherwise if you want a river few and some sun, well it's not too bad.

20 Jun 2005 13:15

The Medicine Bar, Islington

A great place! Awesome couches and chairs, as well as a nice atmophere to start off a night. Make sure you take in the sun on the roof terrace! Staff ok, nothing flash but you get beer.....very important.

20 Jun 2005 13:10

The Prince Regent, Marylebone

Nice for an ale or two if you want to chat with some mates and have a meal. Food very good. Service not too bad. Liked the feel of the place. Gets a bit smokey but that's England for you!

16 Jun 2005 14:39

The Old Parrs Head, Islington

Function room upstairs brilliant! Good downstairs too! Nice alround pub!

16 Jun 2005 14:37

The Porcupine, Leicester Square

Not too bad for a quick ale or meeting point. Upstairs pretty good for a function (around 30 people or so).

16 Jun 2005 14:35

Fox Inn, Ansty

Brilliant! Food is the best I have tasted in any pub in the UK, the beer not too bad at all and the staff and service first rate! Be aware: you have to book early here to even get a table to eat. The bar is full of friendly locals more than happy for a chat! Would be in the top places to go in the UK!!!!!

16 Jun 2005 14:29

The Castle, Angel, Islington

Not too bad, nice for a quiet ale with a few mates. Nothing to complain about here

13 Jun 2005 15:44

The Duchess of Kent, Barnsbury

wicked! don't know why I am trying to tell people as more will want to go, but this place rocks. Jo Smith is the type of person who will love it! For sure!
