The Mitre, Greenwich

This used to be a regular haunt, but not been there for years. Stopped in on a weekday night and was pretty busy with football on the TV, but despite that it wasn't too noisy, just a bit of atmosphere.
Despite the football there was a family with kids and another group with a dog, a nice mix and a good atmosphere.
Bar staff were friendly and helpful and the ales on handpump were mostly Botanic brews, a brewery I'd not heard of before but the 391 I had was delicious.
I'll definitely not leave it as long before going back again.

King's Arms, Greenwich

Visited on a Tuesday evening, quiet, with music playing in the background, interesting choice of real ales including some I'd never heard of.
Not a lot of atmosphere, but friendly efficient staff and well kept beer.
All together a perfectly pleasant pub (at least on a quiet night) but nothing special

The Brown Jug, Upchurch

Stopped in here whilst walking the Saxon Shore Way last weekend. Lovely little village pub, unpretentious with good service and friendly atmosphere.
Food at lunchtime was basic pub lunch staples like toasties and ploughmans but nice and fresh.
Beer was mostly Harveys and well kept, the entry says this is a Shepherd Neame pub but the signs said it was a Freehouse and there were no Shep's beers.

The London and Rye, Catford

Pretty typical Wetherspoons, had gone downhill a bit, poor food and service and annoying clientele starting to hang around, but seems to have had a bit of a resurrection in recent weeks.

Went there last week and had nice food and a very well kept pint, and staff much more attentive and keeping an eye out for potential trouble.
