The King Edward VII, Stratford
After seeing the reviews on here & living near to Stratford, I grabbed my partner & we went here for lunch one Saturday. The service was spot on, food even better & the range of beers was great. My partner likes Ales, but also drinks a lot of belgian beers, so to find a pub that close to us that serves Leffe was lovely. Staff are really friendly & we'll definately be going back with a few friends in tow!

I like this place, it's a welcome change from other pubs in the area & I haven't one complaint about the staff, I've found them alwys friendly & helpful here.

Possibly the worst service I've ever known. The staff cannot understand what you are ordering (Please train them properly!) & I think one of the barmen there must have the world record for pouring a pint in the slowest time ever. Ridiculously overpriced, but then I suppose this is to fleece the business people who stay locally or go to ExCel for conferences & shows. Honestly, over �4 for a decent SMALL glass of wine? Get a grip guys, this is East London, not Knightsbridge!

The only good thing about this pub is the fact that they sell Kronenberg White Beer.

Have used this place on a regular basis, the staff turnover is constant & that goes for the managers too. half the staff cannot speak english properly so you invariably end up with the wrong drinks/meals, Service is incredibly slow & when you think that most people have only an hour for lunch, waiting for your food nearly 3/4 hour is not on!
Clearly no organisation whatsoever & can I recommend that the managers train their staff properly before releasing them on the general public?!

I work around the corner from the Loop, now...while it is a fantastic place for lunch (very cheap special menu!) the service is atrocious... Slow is not the word... not moving better describes it! for drinks in the evening it is a great place to have so near to the office & the club is always good for a laugh!

Great pub! Very Friendly staff, Landlady & assistant manager are fab!, food is average pub food, but always hot & fresh. Love the place & spend a lot of time in there!

I grew up in Oakwood years ago & my family have always used the Merryhills. Over the past 5 years, this place has gone down into the gutter, the staff are absolutely useless, the food is awful, the manager is more interested in having fun than controlling the pub & I would personally say that the people that use this pub have got to be the worst bunch of people I have ever had the misfortune of sharing a pub with
