The Britannia Inn, Plymouth

What can you say? Wetherspoons... Excellent range of reasonably well kept ales, mediocre but cheap grub. Good service. Can get busy on steak/curry night or when Argyle are playing at home!

The Millbridge Inn, Plymouth

This pub is great. Always friendly. Good ale (Tribute/Jail Ale) and cider (Addlestones). Food is good at decent prices and the live music is good.

St James Tavern, Winchester

lovely friendly little pub with nice beer.
well kept ale and the best burger in the world ever...
definitely worth the visit if you're in the area.

The Pineapple, Kentish Town

Great little place, but the beer is crap.
Really really crap... If only they had heard of cellermanship then it might be OK.

The Gatehouse, Highgate

I have only ever had one bad pint here and they swapped it no fuss. Unlike other local places (Flask, Red Lion + Sun).

The selection is always good, lots of Red Squirrel beers on recently.

Don't let Wetherspoons put you off, this really is one of their best establishments (beer wise anyway).

The Flask, Highgate

Dunno wot's going on with this place, the last few times i've been in, the beer has been shite and I keep getting massivly short measures and evils when I ask for a top up. I'm not that anal, but an inch of head is too much, especially as a poor student and they're charging 2.75+/pint.

Go to the Gatehouse, cheaper, more beer and always good...

The Duke of Hamilton, Hampstead

Beers not as good as it used to be... Not been great on the last 2 or 3 occasions I've been in.

Prince Maurice, Eggbuckland

Went there is August, very good beer and genuine locals pub. Pumps are in two separate rooms, but they have kindly provided a blackboard to remind you what's on the other bar! All the local brews (Summerskills, South Hams (formerly Sutton) Princetown if I remember correctly + others).

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

Great beer, good prices and pickled eggs!!!!

The Doric Arch, Euston

Went there beginning of sept: They've stopped doing student discount! Maybe they will put the extra cash into piss-smell elimination + toilet seats/paper?
Beer was better than before though :-)

Quinn's, Camden

I love this place. So many foreign beers to pick, and yes they are a bit expensive, but compared to other places (e.g. The Porterhouse and other random pubs) the prices are reasonable. Well friendly too...

The Junction Tavern, Kentish Town

A nice pub, beer's mostly well kept and well priced (guest ales 2.50/pint) + bi-annual beer festival. Garden is great!
