The Bell, Aldgate

A nice quirky boozer
much more homely than others in the area
good well kept beer and two real ales well looked after
very friendly and competenet staff -
down a side street it is a little away from the hussle and bustle of liverpool street and was a welcome respite

The Hoop and Grapes, City Of London

The Hoop is now an award winning pub having been won the " Perfect Pint " award at the Shepherd Neame annual pub awards 2011.
Many Thanks to all our loyal patrons for helping us win this award by drinking lots of our lovely beer , thus keeping it in top condition !

The White Swan, Farringdon

Back in February it was not under new management ( just a rebranding exercise which failed ) - but it is now.
Has been fully redecorated and it is certainly a vast improvement and the external hanging baskets considerably brighten the area up.
Real Ale is back with Pride , Landlord and guests . Quality can be hit and miss but i think they are still finding their feet with getting the right mix and judging the turnover.
Food is upmarket gastro .
Staff and the new manageress are very friendly.
Closed at weekends.
A change for the better and now worth a look.

The Melton Mowbray, Holborn

A good pub with friendly staff and well kept beer. The Bengal Lancer was delicious and a great addition to the Fullers range.
Lovely internal decor and very clean - food can be a little expensive but hearty portions and very tasty indeed !
Music can be a little loud for the time of day sometimes , others will disagree i`m sure.
One of my favourite pubs in the area and well worth a visit.
