The Clissold Arms, East Finchley

If you want to go to a pub, go to the Alexandra across the road. If you want to go to a restaurant go to the Indian Rasio across the road.

If you want to go to a weird not quite restaurant, definitely not pub hybrid with rude staff, but with a nice garden, by all means go to the Clissold Arms...

The Slug and Lettuce, Muswell Hill

for a slug and lettuce, it's not actually that bad. That said, it is still a S&L....

The John Baird, Muswell Hill

very nice pub. and good thai food in the back as well. Double thumbs up!

Elementz Bar, Muswell Hill

this place has been closed down for a while. maybe it's getting refurbished.

The Park Inn, Wood Green

Agree with previous comments about it being a friendly local pub. I live round the corner and have been in by myself to watch the football on TV a couple of times and have always found it a nice place to have a few and a bit of banter with the other locals.

The Phoenix, Alexandra Palace

Go for the views not for the service.

The Worlds End, Finsbury Park

Not sure why this place has such a low rating as it's actually quite nice.

O'Neills, Angel, Islington

Pretty generic O'Neills. Nice enough to watch the rugby/football as they do table service and there's quite a bit of room. One thing that really infuriates me is the fact that they put a bathroom attendant in the toilets in the evening. This is a complete waste of time as the toilets are always pretty grubby and the place is just a pub, for gods sake.

The Walkabout, Angel, Islington

Pretty dire pub. Passable if you're looking for some place to watch football/rugby but would recommend going to O'Neills next door or better still down to the York near Angel tube station.

The Warwick, Islington

Nice enough but don't see what the big deal is.

The Living Room, Islington

Terrible place. Always packed with w*nkers. Rude staff, both behind the bar and on the door. Very expensive. However they have the Lingerie Channel on TVs behind the bar so the hours spent waiting to get served aren't too bad.

The Winchester, Islington

Nice enough place for a late night drink in Islington. Better than the Living Room just down the road and miles better than the hellhole that was The Bar and Dining Room which was in the same place before it was refurbished/renamed. Can get pretty busy downstairs on Friday and Saturday nights but always good fun.

The Lincoln Lounge, Kings Cross

Lovely place. Very relaxed.

The Humphrey Bean, Tonbridge

Horrible pub, no atmosphere, rubbish service. However this is to be expected from a Wetherspoons pub and since the alcohol is cheap and during the summer and it's warm outside there's a sizeable beer garden, it's worth a look.

The Baring, Hoxton

Nice enough pub, went for the quiz on Thursday night which was quite fun. Not much seating when it gets busy though.

The North Star, Hoxton

Great pub, comfy chairs, nice enough staff and free table football table. Excellent local.

(Claims to be open until 1 on Friday and Saturday but has closed before 12 last couple of time I've been.)
