A marvelous time was had on Friday night. Our first visit back to the WILLIE in five years. From my point of veiw the beer's improved, now a Youngs house, and much can be said for the warm friendly yet laid back welcome. Sadly, we just missed the food - menu stops at 9PM Fridays when live music is on. However, the menu looked impresive for such a small pub so we'll be back next week a little earlier. Definatly recomend this pub!

We have tried this place on FIVE occaisons since moving our business to Croydon. Each time we could not belive it got worse. SERVICE VERY POOR. FOOD DREADFULL. STANDARDS DIRTY. This place is going nowhere. I hope you read this AREA MANAGER and sort the place out. Try starting with new staff who give a S**T!

The Dragon, Redhill

I was about to pop in on monday night after reading the favorable previous comment, only to see the lights switched off as I approached (just after 10pm).
If you want custom - you MUST cater for it during at least the standard 11am-11pm hours. I might be back or then again how will I know if they fancy an early night or not?

going down hill fast. I moved here in august 2006 and have noticed standards in freefall since. I will not be back until I hear of some BIG changes.

O'Neills, Redhill

This place has become a dirty hole since it was debranded. I wish whoever it may concern would stump up the cash for a refurb soon, or get out and let someone with the cash do it.

The Abbot, Redhill

This pub is lacking something but I cant put my finger on it. But for its location I think it would struggle...

The Toby Carvery, Redhill

This place is slowly growing on me. Not just for value for money but go there a few times and the staff and regulars will chill out and speak to you ..... really, I promise it happened!

The Prince Albert, Bletchingley

Everytime me and the missus go, it's empty. Is it us? Do we smell? Why must we be on our own? It must be the Fullers effect!

The Plough, Bletchingley

How hard can it be to cook a RARE steak? It is beyond the cooking skills of this kitchen. They had three atempts and got it wrong each time. Fed up, we went to the WILLIAM instead. They got it right first time with a free bottle if wine to boot. Well done the William. Tucked away but never fogoten.

The Horse and Groom, Belgravia

Tatty naff little pub in need of some TLC. Amazed it does any trade at all. It looks more like DEL BOYS peckham flat than a pub. Dont mention the food OH DEAR ME!

George Stephenson Inn, Newcastle

Rude landlady. Warm beer most of which had run out. I almost ran out myself.

What a dump

The Buccaneer, Eastbourne

I like this place much. Price, food, beers and wines are spot on. A must for visitors to Eastbourne.

The Earl Of Burlington, Eastbourne

This is the worst managed house that I have ever visited. How can any capable area manager allow such nonsense for so long? Unless this place is a reflection on his or hers ability ... hope you're reading Mr Martin.

Bibendum, Eastbourne

GOING STEADILY DOWNHILL, ESPECIALLY THE FOOD. SHAME.

6 Jun 2007 15:38

The Greenhouse, Eastbourne

THIS PLACE IS RUN BY CHAV'S AND CHAVETS FOR CHAV'S AND CHAVETS. A BIT BEHIND THE TIMES. WARM BEER. NAFF WINE. SERVICE AND FOOD BELOW PAR.

Cafe Belge, Eastbourne

I was not impressed with anything here. An army marches on its stomach and a restaurant on its ability to deliver. This place does not deliver.

The Black Sheep, Eastbourne

what on earth is this place about? stranger than strange!

1 Jun 2007 13:42

The Nuthouse, Eastbourne

GOOD PUB

1 Jun 2007 13:41

The Marine, Eastbourne

STILL THE BEST IN EASTBOURNE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

1 Jun 2007 13:39

The Pilot Inn, Eastbourne

A bit gruby. Landlady like a bulldog chewing a wasp, but staff frendly and helpful. Food has gone seriously downhill in recent years. Shame. In the right hands it could be a great pub. I wish they'd sell to someone who knows what they're doning sooner rather than later.

1 Jun 2007 13:36

The Shore, Eastbourne

Oh good. It looks like the previous manager (I use that term loosly) has gone. I and many like me may return.

1 Jun 2007 13:32

Atlantic Inn, St Mary's

left the bishop and wolf to try this place. Wish we hadn't bothered. It was just as bad. Oh dear! Are you listening St Austell Brewery?

1 Jun 2007 13:04

The Bishop and Wolf, St Marys

This is about as bad as it gets. Terrible food, service - what service? Futhermore, the manager could not care less what you think. St Austell Brewery need to sort this place out sooner rather than later.

The Red Lion, Bletchingley

I finished my tour of the village here. very freindly staff, food ok but pricey for a pub, or is it a restaurant? I'm not sure it knows either.I'll be back again Im sure.

Whyte Harte Hotel, Bletchingley

Good food. Shame about the beer, but then again I suspect its more of a G&T gaff. Might go back if someone else is paying ...

1 Jun 2007 12:56

The Prince Albert, Bletchingley

Oh dear me! What has happened to this place. Fullers have ripped the soul out of this once good pub. No atmosphere. Staff couldn't care less, and as for the so called homemade food, the less said the better. Just as well there's other pubs in the village.

1 Jun 2007 12:51

The William IV, Bletchingley

Recently aquired by Youngs this local pub is going places. freindly welcome, well kept beer, even freindly locals. the menu is quite extensive for such a small pub, I counted 40 dishes on my visit. Keep it up William iv. A great pub as pubs should be. I'll be back again and again...
