The Snooty Fox, Three Bridges

Right on the road, The Fox is the first pub you see as you step out of Three Bridges Station. An old building, built around the same time as the Station, it was an important staging Inn on the route between London and Brighton. Good, basic pub, two bars, spartan public and a little more comfortable Saloon. Basic Whitbread ales available, the Fremlins is OK, but personally, I always go for the bottled Pale Ale.

The Greyhound, Tinsley Green

Wonderful pub! Run by the 'Three Brothers', Gordon, Doug and Dennis the atmosphere is always convivial. Gordon & Doug are actually real brothers, Doug is adopted, since he spent so much time in front of the bar, the brothers invited him to spent the rest of his time behind it! Stories of the three are passing into legend - Gordon the ex-wrestler, who once banned foreigners from the World Marbles Championships as they 'didn't drink enough bleedin' beer'! Dennis, who, being caught three times over the limit, went to court and successfully argued that as an alcoholic who puts away two bottles of gin a day, he is actually always over the limit and that morning had only had a quick livener for breakfast! And dear old Doug, who gave up the gin on doctors orders, to replace it with two crates of Arctic Light a day......

Have a bet in the Buddha on who will die first.....

The Plough, Three Bridges

Good two bar twon pub with an off-licence. Basic public bar, serving good home made sandwiches, little more up market saloon bar, sans snug. As a Watneys tied house, Stag & Tamplins are the order of the day and although these arne't the greatest of beers (for that you need the White Hart and Harveys in the High Street), they are well kept and served well here.

The Moonraker, Three Bridges

What a great Pub! The landlord, Brian, is a real character, but watch his tall stories! Gets a little upset if you use blue chalk on his red pool table - you have been warned!

Good open entry pool competition on a Sunday night, just turn up, a fiver and your in. Good New Years fancy dress bash as well.

Take some fish food for the tank at the back!

Life Bar 1, Three Bridges

Aah, the good old Maid of Sussex! Popped in there the other day after purchasing some new stocks from the 'Cabin Wool Shop', just next door to the off licence, fancying a pint of 'Directors' after all that haggling over Mohair and Alpaca! The Directors was in fine form, pulled by the ever reliable 'Big Colin' (although I must say, how he manages to climb down to the cellar is a mystery to me!). The public bar was lively enough, darts being played in the central area and various good denizens of Three Bridges chatting away. Fancying another, I slipped round to the Saloon Bar (avoiding the eye of Old Carney as I committed treason in his eye by going to the 'House of Lords!). Another pint of Directors ordered i slipped through the doors into the snug area, ordered some of Ita's excelent sheperds pie and settled down with the Telegraph. All in all an excellent pub and the off licence (served via the Public Bar) is great for a few carry outs.
NB Don't forget to stock up from the fishmongers just outside the offie - one of the best in Crawley!
