One yes just one star out of 5 for hygiene at a so called `Gastro` pub.

I see the rating for this pub is more than they got for their food and hygiene by the local council.

Here we go again slerpy going off on one,how does he know how much a pub is charged for beer (all breweries charge different pubs different prices and to think other wise is barking) and how does he know a pubs overheads ? Answer he doesn`t.
So slerpy go back to Croydon and stay there.
We have always found this place fine not every bodies cup of tea granted but it is ours.

Yes this is a restaurant not so much a pub so take it for what it is.
These one hit comments do stink I have to say,my baby woke and the chef went and cooked him something, Really get real !!!!

English you do need to move on old son,your constant advertising for this place does not sit well with the regulars on this site if fact i`m sure it puts people off.

Called in when last in Crawley not a great town for good pubs and this place is only average,but saying that it makes it a good pub for this town (not others and anyone who rates this alongside The Harp is Barking)'

Called in the other day lovely building it was clean and tidy staff were on the ball,supping Doombar on this visit which tasted fresh and crisp.
All in all above average on our visit.

This is possibly a good pub ,what does it no favours are the `one` (sometimes two but that doesn`t fool anyone) hit wonders.
If a pub is that good it will stand or fall on it`s own merit.
Old saying self praise is no praise.
And as for the best pub in the country that poster is deff. barking.

jimmywiks quite right use this site for what it`s meant for Beer it`s not foodintheevening is it? Where was there anything about the drink available in this pub I don`t come on this site to find out what the bloody gravy tastes like.

Always had good service here looks clean, we pop in for a chill out drink in between shopping (yuck).Lager always fine.

Cracking bozzer all the drinks be it beer or wine in our party were on fine form staff very friendly, so all in all a very good pub.

Really like this pub, beer very good top notch in fact,the people serving were friendly,yes it is trad. opening hours which we have no problem with. Area is fantastic.

Not surprised the pub has just been sold again. This lot had no idea, basically killed off a lovely locals pub and created a city eating house, What`s the point ???????????
Lets hope the new company turn it back to a village friendly pub.
