The Red Lion, Totton

The manageress is telling bands that they can expect at least 100 to turn up and pay the entry fee. Even more importantly she is promising really good wages for the bands. However dont be surprised if by 21:00 on a Saturday there are 6 punters all in all and of course none is collecting door money (it would make no sense of course to do that). Due to the capacity of the pub there is no way bands can get the money that the manageress is promising!!

The Kings Arms, Dorking

New manager came in. Hope to visit again soon.

The White Horse, Maldon

The manageress is a total rip off and proud of it too. Bands are not getting paid the agreed fee. Easy to have bands playing live if you are going to rip the off. Of course she has problems paying, since only very few people turn up to drink. 2 clients at 9 on a Saturday night!! Filthy toilets too. Cant see any future for this dive.

The Boot, Baldock

The manageress is a bit clueless -to say the least- and it shows too. You have to have simple things like soap in the toilets you know, this is not too much to ask. And you can also wait for a good performance to finish and not stop the band 15 minutes before the end of the gig because you did not like a song they just played. This is unheard of, especially when half of the people attending (6 of them so all in all there were just 12 people around at the time), are there just to see the band. It is also not good for your public relations to not give them the money you have promised because they did not perform for those 15 minutes, since you (and none else) have stopped them!! I also suggest you dont lock the doors before 11 so that people can come in and go out if and when they please. I will stop here, I dont have the time to write an essay.

Red Lion, Langley

You can have fun in here on a Saturday night, thats for sure. Lucky enough to talk to some nice geezers. Huge car park as well. I doubt you will ever having problems parking your vehicle in their car park.

The Prince of Wales, Burnt Oak

Very depressing. 2 punters all in all at 20:40 and then about 12 at around 10:40 on the New Years Eve. And why have a band that plays Rock music when you intent to keep the volume so low, restrict their performance not pay them the agreed fee and ask them to leave. It is just pointless. We had enough and decided to move on to the pub nearby which, needless to say was totally packed. This is a pub that is run by losers and can only be appreciated by big time losers. Amen.

The Spotted Dog, Willesden Green

The way that I see it is that yes, the building can do with some TLC and re-decoration, BUT there are many pluses if you happen to like Rock or even heavy Rock live music and DJ-ing. And the place is massive it can become one of the best venues in London for Rock gigs.

16 May 2007 15:53

The Wilbury, Letchworth

Is this crowd ready to party when they get a chance or what? Can't wait to visit again!

The Anchor, Knaphill

Its rare to find a place where the elders appear to have more energy that the young people in their early 20s. The youngsters here are totally soulless and appear to have no energy. They score very high in the chavometer though! The guys working behind the bar are cool though.

27 Oct 2006 12:30

The Norman Arms, Fulham

Working class pub for sure, but even though Ive stayed there for 5 hours on a Saturday night I did not notice anything scary at all; definitely not any pretentious idiots or anything like that. People had a good time and kept dancing for long periods of time.

27 Oct 2006 12:21

The Old Maypole, Ilford

Very big pub with tons of room and very clean (carpets, tables, toilets, windows, etc). Ray the landlord is a very lovely bloke. Very friendly and supportive management and stuff (two big security men on the Saturday night I visited)Proper pros in my opinion

The White Bear, Ruislip

Great pub. Amazing front and back gardens, parking. Inside very specious, very cool pub managers and crowd. Very beautiful women too.

12 Jun 2006 12:22

The Cardinal Wolsey, Hampton Court

The unbelievable manageress, decided to stop the band (people are asked to pay 2 entry fee to see the bands) just because she did not like the groove, even though everyone in the audience did!!! A financial disaster for the band and of course totally unfair for the people that traveled to see the band play or just paid money to get in and drink. Of course every one walked out once the band was stopped and the manageress was left with just 3 of her friends in entirely empty pub on a Saturday night!!! What a joy killer!!!
