The New Prince, Surbiton

Just cannot understand Fullers undertaking a complete makeover in a street pub well used by locals. If this was in Kingston then fair enough. Major price hikes all round, selection of Real Ale has deminished and the place is now totally out of character with it's surroundings!

A lot of the regulars have moved on and no wonder, all we wanted was a local community pub not a gastro bar serving stockbroker types.

We want our old pub back. Completely ruined by the make-over! Alot of previous regulars have moved on and no wonder.

Kiss Me Hardy, Colliers Wood

Ordered COD fish & chips. Fish was a drab grey and was not cod and was tasteless. Told that is how it is, AVOID.

The Green Dragon, Croydon

What has happened to the food? Came in last Friday and the food ordered took over 30 minutes to arrive. When it did the roasted vegetables were RAW and received a refund. In again yesterday and once again poor food, cold and was sent back but returned no better.

The Victoria, Surbiton

Told by a work colleague that once again they are serving cloudy ale at the week-end., WHY?

This pub really does need to get it's act together, pricey and poor quality.

Old Hooky was cloudy last week-end. Told by the barman that he had contacted the Brewery and that it was ok, cloudy with a lovely taste. Utter trash Hook Norton are very upset and I for one will no be back to this so called pub. By the way Glenn if you are reading this you are losing custoners for you comments.

Charles Holden, Colliers Wood

Oh dear an overpriced poor quality ale boozer. Two pints one Wainwrights the other Directors for 9.00 is obscene and both were past their best and hazy. Complained to the chav barmaid and offered no apology or a fresh pint. AVOID!!!

Le Gothique, Wandsworth

Called in for recent fest on England international football day. Was told YES we are showing the match, on arrival No we are not as no saterlite TV.

Beers ok but the place could do better with better advertising and more seating.

The King and Queen, Brighton

Oh dear not a very nice place from the poor staff customer relations and the TOILETS that should get the place closed down until they are habitable.

The Evening Star, Brighton

Unfortunately this pub cannot make up its mind about food. Very unreliable as to when any food is available, advertise Sunday lunches but last Sunday, not the first time, nothing available to customers but the local football team seemed to be the exception.
Either food is available on a regular basis or don't bother.

The Wheatsheaf on the Green, Esher

The Horse and Groom, Alresford

Decent meal & drink watching the football, fine by me.

The Brewery Tap, Wimbledon Village

Oh dear sky high prices upwards of 3 for an ale pint to Bulmers at 3.95, what a cheap cider at champagne prices, give it a miss.

29 Aug 2008 15:31

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

Oh dear this used to have a decent pint now unfortunately both myself and two work colleagues have been in at different times and been served poor quality ales. What has gone wrong?

The Prince of Wales, Wimbledon

Have been in here twice in as many weeks and each time have been served very poor quality ale. First one had scum not froth on the top and was sent back and replaced reluctantly with a different brew however, yesterday a pint of 'Old Peculiar' tasted vial and the bar staff were at a loss to explain how it should be. No idea about what they are serving but looking along the bar there were two unfinished pints of OP so should not somebody have rumbled something was wrong!

Corkys Wine Bar, Surbiton

Has now re-opened as Corkys Revisited. Yes they are all back loud mouthed over the top clientile. Sit outside mouthing off at anything that moves. Avoid!!!!!

The William Morris, Merton Abbey Mills

A rip off. Yesterday ordered a pint of Eidelweiss a german wheat/weiss beer. The price 4.20 the quality poor. Far too cold it is not a lager, but staff reckon thats how it should be. The Speckled Hen is casked and gas served again WRONG WRONG WRONG. Get it right because you have lost a customer and judging on the sparse number in the bar a lot more as well.

The Star, Godalming

Travelled down from London on Sunday for lunch but only had two dinners left, why? Not exactly busy and what the hell is going on with the prices. This is Surrey not central London. A round of three pints came to over 14. When I queried this I was told beer has gone up due to Government increase. Had the beer and went down to the Hall Woodhouse pub and sensible prices.

The Brew Wharf, London Bridge

What a terrible place for beer. I had a pint of their e own top rated brew my son had a pint of the other beer brewed. Both tasteless queried this with bar staff who could not have cared less, asked for manager whose comments were the same. Who ever is responsible for this so called beer should be shot.

6 Sep 2007 10:25

The Royal Oak, Borough

Nil rating due to not being open. Rang to confirm opening times on Saturday and food availability. Turn up in the afternoon to find it shut with no indication of when it opens.

6 Sep 2007 10:20

The Half and Half, Croydon

Been there but alas now closed!!!!!

23 Aug 2007 12:33

The Brew Wharf, London Bridge

Terrible place for prices, bland brew & service. Why?

23 Aug 2007 12:24

The Minnow, Weybridge

Used to be a Vintage Inn now upgraded and completely ruined as an eating house to become a yuppy haven with the half empty half full wine brigade happily talking about how well their shares are doing. At the prices you need more then a decent dividend so take my advice and go down the road to the Old Crown.

10 Apr 2007 11:53

The Albany, Thames Ditton

Oh dear what has become of this establishment. Rude manager equally the food not very good for the money. Bland and not at all appetising, give this overcrowded river pub a miss.

10 Apr 2007 11:49

The New Prince, Surbiton

Very warming but can be very smokey as well. Lots of real beer and footy but not Sky Plus.

2 Mar 2007 15:45

The Royal Oak, Tolworth

My local and I avoid it like the plague. Poor beer and company more akin to pond life. If you support Chelsea you might get by but it says everything when all the previous regulars under the old manager have moved on to other watering holes.

21 Feb 2007 14:58

The Surrey Yeoman, Dorking

Oh dear what a let down. Been in twice both times on a Saturday and found the beer to be awful on both visits.Bar tenders have no idea of what they are serving and how it should taste and look. Abbot Ale served warm on first occasion and tasted like vinegar. Second time Abbot was off but IPA served cloudy and when I pointed this out I was told that he had no ides hoe it should look.

21 Feb 2007 12:40

The Willoughby Arms, Kingston Upon Thames

A real gem in a mire of Kingston chain pubs. Good beer, atmosphere and plenty going on. Pity itis not closer to where I live but always worth a look when in Kingston.
