This is a lovely pub. Full of cranks, nutty proffessors, burnt-out-roadies and eccentric millionaires. Typical Hampstead and I love it. Pity about the dour Paddy behind the ramp. You know, charisma bypass.

The Old Cross Tavern, Hertford

Pub does get busy. This means it is a very popular place. Good service, even though busy. Locals are friendly. Beer is always good, lots of choice of ales. 4 regular beers, always good. 4 guests always changing including one a dark beer, e.g., milds, porters, stouts. Best ales choice in Hertordshire.
