The Prince of Wales, Kennington

This is my front garden as I live in Clever Square. A lovely, lovely pub; especially nice to sit outside of an afternoon and evening, enjoying the delights of a cigar or two,and supping a superb pint of S&N beer. Staff are great.

The Black Prince, Kennington

A lovely, lovely pub. Beautifully situated and ideal for lovers of smoking to partake in a nice area outside.

The Melton Mowbray, Holborn

The nice Scottish bloke in Ye Olde Mitre suggested this to be a nice place to sit outside and enjoy a drink, watching the world go by; along with a puff on the old cigar. Very nice indeed. A Fullers House. It got very crowded from the late afternoon, but was still very enjoyable. Only bug bear was having to walk down stairs to the toilets and back; very exhausting indeed. A good pub however.

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Being dodgey on my old pins, it was much appreciated, the service of the Glasgow guy who came from busy serving behind the bar and clearing away and finding a seat for me to sit down when I felt wobbley. No over the top fuss, but he took my order and had one of the young kids serving bring it over. And kept coming arund to check that I was okay. Thanks! Nice to see somebody look out for a silly olden like me. Nice pub as well. I'll bring my boys over to have a drink next time, I know that they will enjoy it too.

The Tipperary, Fleet Street

The only true pub left on Fleet Street. Always a pleasure. Welcoming, classic, good beer, fine staff.

The Punch Tavern, Fleet Street

Disgraceful! Not worthy of ever being titled a pub. Ruined. Avoid.

The Ring, Southwark

I've been drinking here since before the war, and used to box up stairs. I wish I could these days. A good pub still, apart from the charmless, unsmiling staff behind the bar; with especial note towards Polish Baldy. Cheer up mate! Outsides ideal for smokers; undercover and large benches to sit upon, sup your beer, puff on your old lardy and watch the talented totty pass by in all directions. Enjoy!

The Windmill Tavern, Waterloo

In response to Harryconner98 back in February, it is a pub first and fore most. If you wanted to order Thai food, ask one of the Thai waitresses walking in and out the place. The bar serves beer. The old girl (over 40 I suppose is old to some people) has always been pleasant swift and accommodating; pl.us she hides the fact very well that she's very deaf. I've known Mary for years and she's one of London special bar maids; always good at her job. If you have problems getting served Harry, buy some lifts for your shoes shorty or stand on a box. If you want a hamburger, piss off up to MacDonald's and buy one there you big kid. Pub's like the Windmill are for grown ups. Grow up! Now I've got that out the way, I can honestly say that I've been drinking here since the War and it's still one of the best pubs in London. And great for sitting outside and enjoying a smoke, particularly in my case of a cigar, and watching the world pass slowly by. Can't be bettered this side of the River.

The Kings Arms, Waterloo

Always a marvelous pub. Well run, different drinking areas, and very friendly. I've been drinking here since the war. Only pain is a lack of seating outside for smokers; and being forced to the rear in the evening. Fortunately, the Windmill's nearby.

The White Hart, Waterloo

Very dark and dirty; hygiene standards of a second class University student bar. And silly prices. Shame as it's a lovely building in a good situation. Thank goodness for the King's Arms around the corner.
