Visited recently - Pub is still quiet with friendly service. Adnams beer had replaced Surrey Hills, maybe Surrey Hills shall return. The Adnams Broadside is good so it was no great loss. BestBeerBoffin - 13 Nov 2008 12:47
I went in on Hallowe'en night. Looked as though there was a party on, but it was near closing time so I had no problem just staying for a drink. This pub is very pleasant, has a well kept real ale and friendly staff. I realy don't understand why it is not busier. Have real ale drinkers just accepted that Guildford is a desert? This pub should go onto the admittedly short real ale itinerary in Guildford. alexw123 - 11 Nov 2008 14:14
Worth popping in for a pint of Surrey Hills alone. BigAleDrinkhead - 26 Oct 2008 12:11
Had an excellent pint of Shere Drop here on Friday, easily the best pint out of a few in Guildford that evening. Not crazy they only sell one real ale, that's what they turn over at the moment - and the result is it was in top condition. Seemed fairly quiet for a Friday night but the landlord said it would probably get busy later. Phil_C - 5 Oct 2008 21:37
