This seems to be a nice Femail frendly Bar with good choice of wine thats Not too bad during the day time or in the early evening after work but it dose tend to get full of absolute Plonkers later in the evenings especilly with all the youger crowed that go to tank up on cheap booze & spirits in wetherspoons then come in here to show off.

You're both right tuppence & strongers the staff at this pub must think us BITE contributors are really stupid,i mean 6 people joining the site in the space of 3 days and only giving the one glowing review to the same pub.YOU SUN STAFF ARE A BUNCH OF SADDOES !

Being the best bar in Southgate isn't difficult, considering every pub in the area is rank.

Suffice to say I get a bit suspicious when a place feels it needs to get members of staff to sign up under different names on BITE to drum up a bit of free publicity. It's the kind of thing which might put me off going to a place.

It’s amazing how many people have spent a night in this place and decided that it is so good that they felt they had to sign up to BITE and post one review!

Well anyway, I wandered into here one evening last week at 20.30ish and thought that it was quite a nice place. I found it to be clean and airy with nice wicker chairs, sofas and high tables. The toilet was very clean and there is a dance floor to the rear of the bar to bop away to the house music. There is some outside seating albeit on the high street, but I think that it has been decked out well. The barmaid was friendly and polite and I didn’t notice it being any more expensive than a lot of pubs in the area

A few bog standard lagers were on offer along with a couple of premiums and Guinness

It has obviously been designed for the younger generation and I thought that there was a good vibe (although I don’t know what it is like when all of the pubs empty out). I like my old fashioned boozers, but I also like to have a dance and a laugh every now and again and this place would do for me as long as it doesn’t fill up with little scrotes.

Was there last saturday night, great service despite the small bar. It may not be cheap but at the end of the night who really cares about the extra 5 quid over 5 drinks to be in a nice bar with a nice crowd. Definitely recommend.
