Ahhh...there is some justice in this world ! Thank you to the last two reviewers. Perhaps the damage to cars parked in Bedford Road car park will decrease now this licensed public toilet has gone. 0 / 10 for ever being there. Biker - 5 Jul 2008 15:07
Has closed, thats one less rubbish bar in this area of town. TheSurreyPubMan - 5 Jul 2008 14:53
Shut down. My recent review seemed to suggest this place was going this way, but an end of an era for searching for H-Files here on a Friday night. Searching_for_H_Files - 28 Mar 2008 12:28
What has happened to this place on a Friday night recently? Once the starting point for a decent Guildford H-File search on a Friday night, it has descended into a farce. Why? Well no matter how busy it becomes here now, management refuse to let people upstairs (bar women going to the ladies), where incidentally there are pool tables, a dance floor and another bar. Even the DJ has been forced downstairs and is now camped underneath the staircase. So once you have eventually been served (note you could go across the road to Flares and be served quicker than in here at times on a Friday night now), unless you sit down, you end up standing by the entrance or in front of the toilet entrance on busy nights. Trust me they are not the best places if for instance you fancy a dance! In the summer of 2007 this was a quality place to stay for a long while before moving onto a club. Now, however, Yates' has merely become a meeting place on a Friday night, where you take advantage of the cheaper drink prices between 6 and 9pm before quickly moving on. Maybe then Slug & Lettuce is the new Yates' regarding the Guildford H-File search on a Friday night… Searching_for_H_Files - 30 Oct 2007 16:08
