Fairly nondescript boho-feel room with lots of hanging brass knic-knacs and a loud juke box pumping out varying but pretty decent tunes. 6X & Ringwood Best on handpump. trainman - 25 Feb 2008 12:25
This pub always guarentees an eclectic mix of characters! We only pop in when we are waiting for our train but it entertains. Friendly bar staff and cheap juke box. BB_and_Pumps - 28 Oct 2007 12:53
Recently visited for the first time in months, the beer was as good as ever (spitfire). friendly staff, good food. I stayed overnight and was less impressed by the accomadation, generally in a very poor state of repair (shower not working, room door did not lock, polyester sheets, very small duvet, wallpaper and tiles falling off etc.)It was however cheap and the breakfast was very good. Since this website is devoted primarily to qaulity of beer, food, and service, and not accomadation,I vote 7/10. If however I was voting re the accomadation, they would be lucky to get 2/10 ! mikeholt - 4 Sep 2007 09:10

For a 'run down' looking pub close to the station, the beer is expensive! The beer was well kept, and the service friendly. A good position, near to the station, probably helps trade. anonymous - 7 Jun 2006 11:29
