HEY ALL I SEE THE OLD PRINCE HAS GONE AND BEEN REPLACED. i USED TO WORK HERE BACK IN 1991 OR SO WHEN BREDA AND THE GANG WERE THERE. iT WAS MAGIC BACK THEN GREAT CRACK LATE NIGHTS. nOT SURE IF ANY REGULARS ARE STILL AROUND. Caroline was a barmaid then with myself and any real regular would remember Ralph the only manager i know that got barred from drinking in his own pub. There use to be polo who looked after the school i could name alot of great guys Ted,Mick*3,ginger,cathy,mark from tyrone. ALOT MUST HAVE CHANGED IN TH YEARS BACK THEN TOMMY AND PHIL OWENED THE PLACE. mET SOME GREAT FRIENDS THERE ALOT OF AUSSIES AND WE HAD SOME SESSIONS. hOPEFULLY MIGHT GET OVER TO CHECK OUT THE NEW PLACE SOON.

Flanagan's is back (uder new management) - well it is still to be decided what it will be called - yes another name change - but the grey is going - finally. The inside has been painted as well. And the staff are friendly, you will even get a smile. Food is coming back online, good home cooked meals, reasonably priced. There is live sport and plently of tv's to watch so you won't have to hurt your neck trying to see it. All in all looks like it will be an excellent pub. Great for a quick pint on your way home or an escape for the evening.

Dean Gaffney's favourite colour is grey.

Firstly the beer, food an local patrons seem not to have changed but the exterior has. As Flanagan's the exterior was painted burgandy which was sympathetic with the tudor architecture. With the change in name they've completed an unecessary and poor quality blue-grey paint job, which we thought initially was the undercoat but now appears is going to stay. Otherwise, third change in name within a year and no significant difference to atmosphere, prices, drinks and food on offer.

Now called Gaffney's after it was bought and refurbished by the television actor and Hammersmith lad Dean Gaffney. I can recommend the Magner's.
