Went to Reflex a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. For the first time in history we encountered a reasonable bouncer, who agreed to overlook the fact that a couple in our party fell a bit short of the dress code, and did so in a very good-humoured manner. Inside the club was busy but not packed, I'm an '80's music fan so the entertainment was first rate, and the crowd seemed generally friendly and up for a good time. The only down note is mentioned by others below - completely short staffed at the bar. And if the owners think they are saving money this way I'd suggest they are wrong as a couple of extra hands behind the bar would have meant they'd have served loads more drinks and taken in far more than the extra staff costs. Overall an 8/10, a rating I wouldn't have dreamed possible when we were queuing. hendero - 13 Aug 2007 17:24
Loved it, I'd guess it's for 80's freaks only, but have more than a few and everyone loves the 80's, dont they??!! lovetodrinkhatedarts - 13 Apr 2007 03:39

Blindin'. Went there after beating Boro in the Semi Final and had a suPERB nite out. Clientele very friendly, DJ supremely accomodating, music absolutely A1, even the security were good as gold - only minor let down was the number of staff on (2), making it a long wait at the bar. Oh, and the fag machine was broken. Then again, I didn't care. We're in THE FINAAAAAAAAL... StuFromSaturday - 27 Apr 2006 17:22
Brilliant place for a night out for people of a certain age (pushing thirty or over). Fantastically 80's kitsch decor (Rubik's Cube Light a particular treasure), great atmosphere and songs that take you back to your childhood and make you dance like a loon are all present and correct. Be warned: some of these tunes do not sound as good as you remember! Drinks are very cheap for a place with a late licence and they have been known to do good offers on doubles. Very friendly, no trouble, definitely a place to consider for a night out. Warning: Due to the pleasant atmosphere and cheap booze you may end up trolleyed by the time you leave here! Remember although this may be the music you listened to as a teenager: you are not a teenager anymore and sever hangovers may be experienced. Mr.Monkfish - 25 Oct 2005 11:12
