| An old school pub with public and 'posh' halves. Plenty of ales on - had the Mayflower bitter which was good. Might be a bit rough and ready for some folk but it's a good solid town pub. has a pool table to the rear. Snarling_Mallard - 23 Nov 2019 22:54 |
| great pub great selection of well kept ales. this is a town centre pub good tea time trade. bar snacks (pies, sandwiches) available. This is well worth a visit also CAMRA discount . | 'Dead-uns' is now open after a refurbishment and new landlady etc. The beer is kept in superb condition with around 6 real ales and is a credit to the staff. A gem of a pub really with original victorian features that deserves to be better frequented. Discount for CAMRA members. Give it a try if you like good real ale served correctly.
