Not great for beer (a couple of brown Arundle beers plus Greene King nonsense), but the service was very good, and unusually for Wetherspoons, not full of drunks.

Good to see Wetherspoons supporting local breweries; a nice pint of Dark Star Sunburst, which stood out, but several other options on offer too.

Typical JDW pub, with a selection of real ales which included some from the 'local' Arundel Brewery. A pint of their Black Beastie was refreshing on a blustery afternoon.

Service appalling, beer bland, whole place littered with empty glasses and beer drenched tables. A must visit !

Sorry for not responding earlier PubbCrawlerOne.
I've no problem with any Irish community anywhere. I thought my post was self explanatory in that if a pub has a lot of Irish customers, it doesn't have to bother with a good choice of real ales. You'll find this in every pub with a large Irish clientele. Most Irish drinkers tend to drink lager or Guinness, in that order.
