user reviews of the Gardeners, Springfield

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I returned to C/ford after a long time away. This is my local, but I am willing to travel now to avoid having to drink there. The bar staff are surly, which seems to come from the management and is taken on board by the rest of the staff. The clientelle are a mixture of "geezers" and wannabe TOWIES. The only reason I gave 1 point as a rating, is because they serve Carlsberg for £1.95 when there's a match on!!!!

the new management and staff are totally out of their depth at this estate pub, they are too young, too childish and upsetting all and sundry of locals who have been drinking in this establishment since they were still in nappies.

The senior management want to listen to the awful mistakes especially the attitude of the bar staff, when did it become necessary to tell customers who are well in to their 40's and 50's for Identification and to limit customers to only 2 drinks per person when they are served.

It is totally shambolic, this pub was a great pub very active and totally full on friday nights, now like a graveyard ,the senior management must be aware of this and this is the reason why amongst many other idiotic behaviour thie staff and management are dictating to long established locals to this establishment.

Not a terrible pub, but only go there if you're prepared to be given daggers by some of the younger chav locals, and probably beaten up on the way home...

Not the nicest clientele, which is a shame, because the pub isn't too bad at all.
