Popped in for a lightning quick half of Lightfoot while waiting for trains during storms. Bit of a barn and very different from smarter pub in town centre but perfectly good. mtaylor40 - 4 Jan 2014 23:33 |

Popped in here first to make a start on a CAMRA Lytham ale trail leaflet(which funnily enough i found in a local bristol pub!). As said before it's a very large building converted from the old station buildings. Sadly when i called in on a Wed evening it was empty. Only 1 ale on out the 3 pumps and this was pretty vinegary, not the best start but god did it improve after this pub.... 6/10 fat_beer_badger - 6 May 2009 14:00 |
As jkg rightly points out this is over sized for the number of people that drink in here. Good pint of Adnams Explorer on my visit but sorely lacking in atmosphere. I never thought I say this but I could handle a crowd of Hooray Henries at lunchtime just to bring a semblance of life to the place if nothing else. johnkn7 - 5 May 2009 11:41 |
Large building, possibly too large for the current level of trade, this is the only pub (as opposed to cocktail bar) open past 11 through the week in Lytham. Of late they've just been carrying 2 real ales at a time, one regular (I forget what, maybe Theakstons Best?) and one guest -- but at least the limited range means they can guarantee the throughput to shift it before it turns nasty. One of few pubs in Lytham to still allow smoking at the bar. jkg - 21 Mar 2007 11:34 |
