| Not impressed when I visited. Food was crap & the beer wasn't well kept. I think we were the 1st people in on a saturday dinner time but that's no excuse for poor quality food & drink. realalechav - 2 Jun 2009 22:19 |
| This is an excellent pub. Brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, wide variety of drinks, 50p pool table(a new addition), table football, darts. What more could you want? The meals are all home made and fresh, with a buy one get one free offer at the moment, any day except Sunday. I recommend the Sunday roasts, all fresh, and big portions, but get there early, or reserve your meals before hand, as they are often very popular and sell out fast. If you buy four meals you get a free bottle of wine. The atmosphere is very welcoming, with locals and visitors alike. It is also gay friendly, and student friendly, which is hard to find in local pubs. I definitely would recommend this pub to anyone. With children welcome during the day too. The quiz on a Monday is always entertaining, and challenging. There is also womens and mens darts team. Men play on Tuesday and Women on a Thursday. This place has to be tried. connb - 10 Feb 2009 15:44 |
