Strange pub, staff and locals are not welcoming at all and I have lived in the area 20 years !!!! confirmedoldguy - 29 Oct 2011 20:11
Great place! I wanted somewhere to eat and a local chef suggested I try this pub. I loved it and have been back several times since. I have yet to have a bad meal. Prices are decent enough as well. It's a preet average size for a non-town centre pub. It has a pool table and several TV screens for sport, including a 3D screen. There's a beer garde, with a heated, covered smiking area Staff are friendly. It's hard to find fault buzzbee - 8 Jul 2011 12:40
Despite it's local reputation, I had a warm welcome from a smiley girl behind the bar, a decent pint and a clean seat. Yes, the locals stare at you a bit but that's to be expected in a small community. Pubspymaster - 11 Mar 2010 18:28
I went in this pub last night and you would think I had arrived from Mars the way everyone stared! I would not mind so much but by "everyone" I am including the bar staff. Not a welcoming feel at all, I left near enough straight away because I felt so uncomfortable. gemam999 - 13 Sep 2006 13:34
I think this is a very friendly pub, where you are always made to feel very welcome. Love all the trimmings for the world cup, lets just hope our lads do well. smiler135 - 23 May 2006 10:32
