Country pub overlooking a valley with great views from the conservatory. They had a good choice of real ales - Otter Amber, Stroud Tom Long, Nailsworth Alestock and Bath Barnstormer, but no real cider - Stowford Press was the draught option. Parking can be in short supply. blue_scrumpy - 6 Mar 2010 11:47
Went in this week and found the place has new management - the food was absolutely excellent, home cooked and big portions. All 4 of us visiting were impressed. We live locally and will be visiting on a regular basis. Its also dog friendly which is great as we can take the dog. Was very busy so glad we booked. harrythecat - 1 Apr 2009 20:11

Has ben good for years. The recent change of management has improved it. Very good food and a good range of well-kept real ales. Its location is stunning. davidashbee - 22 Jul 2005 20:12
This place is outstanding with fantastic panoramic views across the stroud valleys all the way to the severn. Great local ales and ciders (including black rat cider - handle with care!!) lovely garden and a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and food is ok and inexpensive. Definately one for the summer all day sessions or the quiet drink. You will not be dissapointed (unless its raining and too busy inside) Jamie - 10 Aug 2004 23:20
