Went in for the first time a couple of weeks ago - very late - dragged in by oldest son. Pleasantly surprised - very loud music just finishing but pool tables, friendly staff and atmosphere 2020oldfogey - 25 Oct 2010 13:44
A music pub at the weekends with live bands. It has a couple of real ales and is holding a small beer festival this week. Needs a good makeover and a tidy-up. wellingtonia - 6 Apr 2010 19:58
Not the most glamorous establishment and poor choice of beer. kwak09 - 31 Jul 2009 23:25
Another pub that hasn't been reviewed for over 2 years. The main change from the previous reviews is that this bar now sells real ale. OK they only have one, which was Bateman's Jesters Pale Ale, but they're trying. It was pretty good as well, keep it going please guys. Large stage area in one room with loads of decent looking seating. Two pool tables in the other room. Friendly welcome from the staff. It was pretty quiet, but it's alright is this place. You can't say that about many places in Wellington. ROBCamra - 22 Jan 2009 09:29
out and out rock pub in the evenings and weekends. some great live bands and a huge stage to watch em on! if thats your scene, then this is the place! bit quiet during the day, caters to the older lads and anyone else who fancies a quiet pint. friendly staff, seein as most of em are family members! landlady tina is great, but be warned, she takes no prisoners if crossed! similar crowd to the old iron horse, but with less kiddiwinks, less trouble an less dirt! love this place, cant think of anywhere quite like it! whiskymonster - 25 Apr 2006 10:59
