Plus points..
The beer selection is pretty good and they have decent live music acts.

Minus points..
You get hair everywhere from the dogs. On your beer glass, on your clothes, everywhere!

I'll give it an 8 if they hoover up!

Top quality pub. The best pint of HSB I have had in Pompey. 50p a go pool table and dartboard when its not in use. It can be a bit of a hit and miss pub as in the evening it becomes packed with locals and regulars, but in the day you are likely to find some fine characters.

Good prices and great barstaff although the venue gets very smokey in the evening. One of the nicest pub dogs as well, and even though the pub doesnt do food the best chinese I have had in a long time comes from across the road! Get your order in and have another HSB!

I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE PUB WAS ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC, THE BAR STAFF WERE REALLY FRIENDLY I THINK THEY WERE CALLED VIKKI AND KAT, I DID MEET THE LANDLORD...(WHO DIDN'T!!) HE'S VERY LOUD!!!SO IS HIS DJ'ING!!!, AND WAS DESCRIBED BY HIS LOCALS AS "THAT TWAT FROM THE DARKNESS!!"....HE DOES HAVE A STRIKING RESEMBLENCE!!
THE PUB WAS VERY LIVELY AND FUN AND THE BEER WAS CHEEP.
THEY HAVE A VERY FRIENDLY DOG WHO DOES LIKE TO EAT EVEYONES CRISPS AND IS THERE AT A DROP OF A PORK SCRATCHING!!
I HAVE BEEN IN THERE A FEW TIMES NOW, AND I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHERS WHO LIKE A PUB WITH CHARACTER, AND IT ALSO NEEDS SOME GOOD LOOKING MEN IN THERE TOO AS IT DOES SEEMS TO LACK THEM, BUT IT DOES HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF SEXY YOUNG WOMEN!!!!!!! HAPPY DRINKING. GDBXXX

The Life O'Riley recently played this venue and found it to be a good, fun venue, with friendly bar staff, energetic but not overly boisterous clientele and it has to be said, it was bloody good fun!! What i remember of the night, I think that the beer is cheap(ish)
