In here last Saturday lunch on way to Northern Star FC
Big open layout but lack of customers over 50 years of age
They must all get the bus and go to the College Arms for Ruddles @ 1.70
In here there are 4 hand pulls but only two in use I for Tetleys Cask (Ugg!!)
I had a couple of pints of the other one Old Speckled Hen @ 2.95
Lots on TV's in here showing Golf and the GP quolifying.

Went in last week, as the outside seem to have had a lick of paint recently and looked a little more appealing !
Pleasantly surprised decor good, good service and some fantastic deals on the food. They are making their own burgers and sausages now, so beats most other prick it and ping it gastro-pubs in the town

I used to drink in the Wheater in the early 80s what a cracking pub it was then top quality beer and service
I recently revisited a couple of weeks ago and what a crap hole it has now turned into
Its been knocked about and all of the old charm has gone and as for the beer absolutely crapulous, service is hopeless , and the food??
frozen ready meals microwaved
so a big fat 1rating for me
