I do like this pub as a meeting place and for sports, My comment below was agreeing with previous comment as I had witnessed fights here and almost got tangled up in 1 myself, and to anon.. when i went past in my taxi heading home last saturday there were cops everwhere outside and fights kicking off outside, this was just past closing at 1, so i guess it neva went on inside so is a lovely pub

As promised went there last friday Lunch had a good meal, was a good size for a fair price. Standards have changed in the place. Went back on the evening and we had a great night, DJ was playing some class tracks from R&B to A little bit of Garage. Totally enloyed but had to leave at middnight..... bit worse for wear. Recommend the place. OH and not a single fight must have been a one off (seaman)Door staff was friendly and on their game WELL DONE

I must agree with KM, shocked on how vastly improved the pub has become. last in there about May last year. See a new Manager has taken over maybe thats the reason for the new look and cleaner premises. Beer still cheap enough thou and a good pint at that. Dont know about the comments from seaman/anon but intend to visit next Friday as i love my music. i used to enjoy the up to date music the pub played on Fridays so will let you all know next week.

Well well well. Still in shock at how much this pub has changed in recent months. Just back from a great night out there. The DJ was amazing (apart from the garage music) The customers were older tonight-perhaps they should think about running an over 30's night there....lets face it Cadbury Club doesit and it's packed. Play some older type tunes and let the older ones have somewhere decent togo every weekend. Very impressed with tonight. The doormen were a credit to the pub being very kind and sociable (they were the aggravators of fights a few years back)
