| danmantanshameboutvan: - It might l o o k old, but I can remember when this was the site of a petrol station [Inward's, who had a site in Hillingdon, too] selling Esso petrol. My Dad paid 4/11d a gallon [ about 6p/litre!!!] for the equivalent of three star - and you could get a Tiger Tail. This jolly well does date me, doesn't it! | This pub has a nice atmosphere and its a great hotspot for a night out in Ickenham. I would say it is a beautiful old looking place, but trendy at the same time. Lovely mix. The beer is cold...but so are their staff, not just to yobbish youngsters, but to some elderly people I know too. Also, they are way too strict in my opinion regarding ID and kicking people out at 9 etc. But lets not end on a low note, I'd reccommend the Tich to anyone who likes good drink and value for money dinners in Ickenham, Hillingdon, Uxbridge or Ruislip. danmantanshameboutvan - 25 Sep 2006 11:49 |
