Beer quality was not up to standard, and like a lot of this chain, better lighting would be an improvement.

i hadn't used this place for a couple of years and was a bit hesitant after reading the latest reviews, but decided to give it a try last Thursday night (JDW's curry night)got there about 6.30 and the place was packed,we managed to squeeze 5 0f us round a table got served no trouble,I may have just been very lucky but the food and the ale were both very good,my wife said her stake was as good as the Lamb and Flag up the road but half the price,as I said i may have been lucky but the service and quality was very good, and i'd certainly go back, and as I said the place was packed

Having read the previous reviews of the Tremenheere (which weren't very encouraging), I still paid a couple of visits. My first impression was that it seemed gloomy inside and needed better lighting.
The food was warm-ish (but then is Wetherspoons food ever that hot?).
My main quibble was the ordering at the bar for the meals and drinks.
You could, like me, wait in a queue patiently for ten minutes or so, or, like a couple of pig-headed customers, start your own queue and get served straight away!
