| Agree with previous comments "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot"... ( this actually happened to the 'Queens Hotel / Westcliff'... many years ago ).. by the way... the 'old peoples' apartments are horrendously priced... hope the whole thing in this 'credit crunch' goes 'flat on it's back' for the investors... greedy people !! pubgeezer - 13 May 2009 22:03 |
| When I was at sixth form 2000-2002 we would grace this pub between lessons, burger and a beer for 3 quid or something. Great place in the evenings too. Not sure why they closed it, developers moved in and obviously saw the big money in an old peoples development. Shame really, but the memory will live on.... mlmcjonesy - 8 May 2008 16:02 |
