I was lured in by Monday's special offer of half price food. The food was awful, atmosphere worse.

its just so disappointing in here - service is ropey, the place lacks any atmosphere, the layout is poor and the clientele is transient. agree with 264, Putney deperately needs a destination venue - probably not on this site thought.

the slug is like any run of the mill wine bar, what putney needs is a late license american styled blues bar, great music from the like of John lee Hooker BB king and the likes of seasick steve, with live bands playing once a week. beer wine women and song! till the wee hours of the morning! please just some other option than the rubbish Fez club, dont think i have actually met anyone there who really wanted to be there, just it was the only place open after 12:30am!

This is definitely the smallest Slug and Lettuce Ive been in even though the huge mirror on the back wall makes it look bigger and busier.

The manager was on the phone when I walked in and he got one of the kitchen staff to pour my pint. She had obviously never done it before as there was more froth than liquid. It was topped up, after asking, with an apology which counts for something I suppose.

There are a few tables tucked around the side of the bar with a good view of a plasma screen, but theres not really that much room around there.

I wont be going back as this is one of the poorest S&Ls I have ventured into, and that is saying something.
