| I never want to go to hell as I think I visited today! Barmen look like they are from the land of the living dead washed out and pale!!! Only drink from bottles unless you want to be on the toilet for a week!!!!! Plus side big screens for all sport and free wifi. Oh and the landlord Peter this man makes Jonny Vegas look anorexic he is a walking man mountain and hilarious prides himself on slapping the staff about and eating chips!!! | In this pub anything goes. For the average drinker on the hunt for a night with good chat and good beer this would be a haven, but unfortunately the local punters rule- and they are probably not your ideal company. When I visited this pub all I heard were racist loud mouth yobs. It is amazing that the landlord found their behaviour acceptable. The word c*nt was shouted more times than I took breath, and one overweight chap took it in turns to jump on the pool table and punch the ceiling whilst shouting expletives at the asian/black sportsman on the tv. If you fancy going down the boozer for a night of agressive and racist plonkers than this is the pub for you. | Reasonable, if fairly basic, pub just a short distance away from the picturesque (in parts) High Street. The Pride was off, so made do with a decent-enough pint of Courage Best. rpadam - 10 Mar 2008 22:27 |
| This pub has been completely refurbished and the garden is currently undergoing the same treatment. The friendly landlord Peter trys to ensure that there are two guest real ales every weekend, always well kept. The food is excellent and real value for money. Davidgeorge - 30 Jul 2004 10:08 |
