| No real choice in their real ales, very much a youngsters pub in love with fizzy lager and track suits. Was once a reasonable pub. I was introduced to 'real' ale here with Watneys London and Stag bitter. Yes, I know, CAMRA sorts but it did get me interested in the better stuff. Basic pub food cooked by experienced chefs who know how to switch a microwave on. At least they let dogs in the public bar and my Lurcher was probably the best behaved customer they've had in there for a long time! thewildrover - 25 Oct 2013 22:20 |
| The service has still not improved in 2012! During out visit their was only one member of staff serving whilst 2 other members of staff seemed to be hiding in the kitchen. The food is awful and very microwaved! Don't expect anything of a high standard its cheap and very under cheerful. Very disappointing - I would avoid at all costs. bite_size - 30 Sep 2012 19:28 |
| Well swift service in 2006 it may have been,but not any more. This place needs far more staff to cope,but I think this may be more company policy than local management and yet more cost cutting. As a stranger in these parts waiting to be served,and a group of lads leave after a 10 minute wait to be served,that is money walking out of the door. I was shortly after them with a 14 minute wait without success. Only Bombardier and something called EPA on the pump,the rest was Eurofizz.
