The old pub (Green Dragon, a favourite bar billiards haunt) seemed to suffer when the (Witherspoons) Lynd Cross opened in competition.
Now a gastropub.

Nice place - a definite move up from its old self as the Green Dragon.

More set up for food, although there is a separate bar area.

Food was great, if a bit on the pricey side.

Olive Branch what can i Say. Went there to celeberate with a few friends, and couldnt have decided on a better place than this, from the moment we walked in ,it was amazing. The Staff very friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. We can actually see what food was coming out of the kitchen, only shows they are making fresh food. Atlast a place in Horsham where you get real British food and freshly cooked. I had the Minestrone Soup, which the waitress told me was the best soup she has ever tasted, and true to the word it was fresh and vibrant. Many restaurants claim to have fresh produce but these guys certainly do, the Shepherds Pie had real Lamb Shanks not out of a packet, i could see the Chef pop it into a oven and bake it like you would do at home, the others had the Platter to Share and it was too much on it to eat, Stargazy pie cooked to perfection and Puddings actually looked and was home-made and tasted yummy, just the way my Gran would make it, i will give it a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone, will definetely go there soon, cant wait.

Not sure what to make of this place. Hall & Woodhouse so the beer was guaranteed to be poor. Settled for a glass full of fizzy italian chemicals instead. Together with a half of cider, that was £6 gone. The London prices continued into there restuarant.

The food was nice enough - Sharing fish platter to start with, a steak and a fish pie. one sweet, one coffee and a bottle of wine. £70. Portions nothing exciting. Trying to be trend by using unsual serving dishes. Dont let them kid you that anything is home cooked. Apart from the steaks everything was clearly prepacked and portion controlled - the only real benefit to the customer of being able to see into an "open" style kitchen - why bother when your are serving microwaved mash out of a plastic box and adding the empty plastic box to stack for washing later. The "hand cut chips" were clearly mccains

Saying all that the ambience was conducive to a special night out. Decor very similar to The Black Jug, but without the real home cooked food and the huge range of ales

London prices plus? I'm sorry but no, the only London prices this is more expensive than are those of greasy and wether spoon's!

Went there with a gorup of 6 to celebrate my daughters 21st with the family. Three course meal with drinks, and a post meal snifter, excellent service, superb food - well presented well cooked and full of flavour for £200.

Ale range is limited, lager range is not and the emphasis is clearly on dining. Wine list is pretty standard but nice to see a viognier and a riesling for those of us who don't 'do' chardonnay.

Not quite in the Black Jug league but still very very good by local standards.
