| Super little pub. Excellent real ales now looked after by Peterborough Beer Festival cellarman. Pub has just received a Gold Award for beer quality and has now become Cambridgeshire pub of the year. Bus number Citi 1 from bus station. peterboroughpubs - 18 Jul 2010 10:03 |
| Enjoyed a couple of well kept ales in this friendly community pub a short walk or bus ride out of yhe centre. A couple of rooms and tiled corridor with serving hatch. Adnams and Elland beers plus one from Tydd Steam yesterday. gillhalfpint - 3 Apr 2010 07:47 |
| I popped in hear one Saturday recently on hearing that new management have taken it over and I can say I was very impressed with the improvement. The Real Ales, my favourite tipple, were all in excellent condition. Keep up the good work. Is also a very historical pub too with 2 rooms and a drinking corridor, quite rare for the south! | Late review from October when we stayed a couple of nights at Ferry Meadows so we could visit the real ale pubs and what a find this one was. Lovely atmosphere and interesting decor. Ehjoyed our Pot Belly and Jennings ales here. gillhalfpint - 17 Jan 2009 12:27 |
| Ah ! The Hand and Heart. Back street gem, 1930's classic boozer - roll out the platitudes and they're all justified. Always a cracking pint, a friendly welcome, and someone to strike up conversation with. Unique in Peterborough, and there can't be many like this left - the Hand is on CAMRA's national inventory. nmckenn - 18 Dec 2008 21:41 |
