Always liked this place; friendly staff, decent range of beers; not entirely convinced about the refurb. Lots of long refrectory tables; everyone sqaushed in together. Upsatirs bar is a bit soulless and if you want a draft beer, you have to buy it downstairs and take it up. On the bright side, they've just introduced a curry night; £9 for a curry plus pint of beer or glass of wine; well worth it, but come early as it gets very hectic. dhderby - 1 Feb 2007 17:49
Bar now re-opened - refurb is OKish but seems like they tried to do it on the cheap - don't like the "canteen" style seating now in the main bar either jonnyg - 23 Jan 2007 15:28
its got its licence back, its getting a refurb in october with more power points for laptops and cameras and stuff, better tables and more gallery space, there's going to be another proper bar upstairs and more seating around the building so you can sit in corners and work on scripts and stuff, hopefully a better media support network will build up around here - this should be something like the bar at the NFT considering the amount of film, animation and production done in Notttingham it ought ot work quite well rock_bear - 20 Aug 2006 12:32
Boooooring...full stop. SassyClassy - 19 Aug 2006 21:57
It's a pity they didn't lose their coffee license. That might deter the antisocial wifi crowd who take up a table each for the afternoon/evening while decent drinkers have to stand. palmwinedrinkard - 31 May 2006 10:55
