| Nice looking pub thats been my local for nine years. Unfortunatly i wont be using it any more. This used to be a reletively busy pub at lunch times, now, its empty. The last time i had a pint there there was nobody behind the bar, i was told she was outside having a fag. When i did get served she told me that my brand of beer had gone up by 10p a pint, this was early march, on thursday donna told that due to the budget, beer was going up by not 4p a pint but by 10p this she said was due the tax and vat added to the 4p. When i pointed out to her that the extra 6p was 150% more the than the goverments increase she told me to get in touch with Green King. yes it is a great pub for live music i go to the gigs myself but, its overpriced, theres no food,the chef left after just six days at the pub. there was a fund raising gig at the pub to buy heaters for the smoking area in the back yard, Green King wouldnt pay for them. | With the crown now doing good old home cooked food and snacks there is just no excuse the stay at your desk of a lunch time or to pop out for a bite at the weekend "just think about all the washing up your not doing!" There is also a kids menu and yes this does mean your children are welcome too. the atmosphere is always good in the crown night/day. 10 out of 10 to the crown. cjkandi - 15 Mar 2007 10:57 |
| Nice one donna looks like you have only gone and done it. this is now a pub with a great atmosphere and good music just what the town needs,and with a new menu on the cards the crown is top off the Littlehampton pub league "in my book anyway", But don`t just take my word, come down and have a look for yourself. | Cool pub..!!!! The music here is usually of a very good varied standard, favorites of my friends and I have to be KXB although I was disappointed to see they have changed drummers. Bring back the bald/shaven headed dude - he could play......;0) anonymous - 30 Jan 2007 13:44 |
