We visited on a "Gavin + his Guitar" night for the 3rd time. Gavin is a very gifted singer/guitar player who has a wide range of musical material. He usually visits on a Weds. night (though not often enough for us) + on his night the pub is busy + atmospheric. He takes requests via a book that he passes round the tables. The bar staff are cheerful + polite. The food is traditional pub fayre, cooked to a good standard with huge portions + reasonable prices ( for the area). There is ample parking ( off road), a good garden + a skittle alley out back. 1katie - 24 Mar 2011 16:57

Last time I went there (a few years ago) the landlord and his son seemed violent scum-bags or have things changed? BillJ - 5 Oct 2008 22:28
Went there last Sunday (Father's Day) for lunch with the family. Staff were friendly and generally good atmosphere. London Pride was in good shape, but the food was a bit disappointing, though they were happy to accept our comments afterwards, and said that they are in the process of improving the food side, so we might try again another time. wine_and_dine - 17 Jun 2008 00:02
