| New management in this pub have seen more organised event nights which have certainly helped it along. It can be a little quiet sometimes but can also be very busy when a night is arranged well. | Got invited to this pub on saturday nite 4th oct 08 and had an absolutely crackin' time. I understand its been recently taken over and owner and staff are nice people. They had a karaoke on and almost everyone sang and those that didn't were singing from their seats and anyone else seemed to be dancing even the landlady sang!, saw so many people i hadn't seen since school days, don't know when karaoke is on next but the venue was brill, will definately go back waynel - 8 Oct 2008 12:07 |
| I've read a lot of dodgy reviews, but the drinkers I've spoken to in the village hold this place in pretty high esteem. No bitter going, but they had bottles of Spitfire for the occasional visitor - which went down very nicely. Sorry to report that nobody offered me any drugs, and nobody offered me outside. In fact, the most animated conversation was between four blokes discussing when the laws changed to stop savers from cashing in a personal pension. Judge for yourself - it's not that bad!
