| The range and quality of beer is good. For some reason the quality of food isn't as good as our previous regular Wetherspoons but is acceptable (for the price). They apparently have a problem washing up glasses (my wife complains of adherent orange pulp being a frequent feature) and cutlery (the knife I was supplied with my most recent meal there was in a dreadful state). Service is as slow as any Wetherspoons and maybe they could either be a bit more forceful with the fairly regular loud customer and/or call the police sooner when the first warning is unheeded? | RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH!!!! This is a great example of what a pub should NOT be! Cheap beer invites under-age chavs to get horrendously drunk and then nip round the corner for a kebab and a fight. Nasty. demonboy - 27 Jun 2006 18:45 |
| Comments below about weekend nights could apply to most JDWs; visit on Sunday to enjoy the usual quality/choice beer and unusually good sunday lunch mtaylor40 - 25 Sep 2005 01:12 |
| Agree with Marcus about Friday/Sat nights. Usual standard Wetherspoons stuff - have some real ales although I don't know how many they actually sell because most of the clientele drink lager or bottles. However it can be a nice place to pop into during the day. Large garden. Cheap. Mind the chavs though. leftwinguk - 21 Jun 2005 12:04 |
