| Drove past yesterday. All boarded up. What a great pub it was back in the seventies. Fella called Len ran it and he didn't take any nonsense from anybody. Great characters amongst the regulars. Terrific darts players. Heavily populated by roundsmen from the Express Dairy behind. When Len retired it was never as good although it was only in the nineties it really started deteriorating. My best mate died in 1999 and I only visited a couple of times after that. Musn't get too nostalgic. Still plenty of great pubs around! geoffharwood - 25 Dec 2010 06:09 |
