Very impressed. Good interesting selection of ales rather than the tired old Greene King stable you get elsewhere round here. Very quiet on a Saturday afternoon - pleasant pub.

Brilliant pub, approx 5 miles off the M1 and on direct Nottingham-Eastwood bus route (behind Kimberley Town FC)

Excellent pint of Copper Dragon and huge rolls also on sale. I will be visiting again when needing a pit stop.

One of the better pubs we visited in Nottinghamshire this weekend. Adnams Bitter, Marstons Pedigree, Batemans XB and Kelham Island Easy Rider were on offer. The lounge is on the left as you enter, with the bar on the right. The latter has table skittles roughly in the centre. A beer festival was advertised for 3 weeks time. My only criticism was that it lacked a little bit of atmosphere. Music was playing. But with only 2 other people in the bar, it was very quiet.

Best (and only non-Greene King) pub in the village. Coincidence? You decide.
Always a good choice of beer, well kept, friendly staff, good company.
