Great little pub, it takes a lot to get me into former Gales pubs (what they did with Gales brewery at Horndean is unforgiveable!) but still a warm welcome and well kept ales + decent priced food, a pub for all people and all seasons. Would have got rated 9 but for the Fullers "profit before people" policy.

This pub very small and a little unwelcoming. We missed the food service by being 1 minute late! Beers ok but just the usual Gales range.

Dan Cooke has just about covered everything but just to say that The Coal Exchange still has the usual range of Gales Ales but not surprisingly they have now been supplemented by Fullers London Pride and Discovery. Gales HSB was in good nick.

This is a fab little pub, great friendly bar staff, a great range of drinks and bar snacks. and what the pub lacks in space it makes up for in personality, the punters are generally a happy bunch that you can join in a conversation with.
