Walked past on way to West End intending not to try it as GBG says guests from Green King portfolio but met a fellow traveller in West End who said they had beers from Titanic, Thwaites and Nethergate (I think) and so went back and was not disappointed. Excellent old style pub which ok was quiet when I was there on a monday afternoon but must have a great atmosphere when busy.

Top pub, haven't been here since 1996 when I lived here for a while.

Called in enroute to a football match in Cambridge (Histon), very friendly welcome, communtiy pub with loads of veg on sale outside making most of some sort of fair that was going on in the town.

Took a real ale supremo with me and even he was full of praise for the Greene King Mild. No music, no TV, just good beer and chat with the locals, inc the Wales RFU supporting landlord - the wake starts tomorrow apparently!

Hopefully visit again in the Blue Square 'North' and thanks for the warm welcome, a really good pub. Try it!

I cannot understand the previous comment. I've been a regular visitor to this pub for the past year and have never found the toilets to be anything other than very clean and tidy. My wife says the same is true of the Ladies.

What is more, I am sure if anyone reported a problem to the bar staff, thy would deal with it promptly. The Albert is a friendly well-run, local.

we visited this pub as it is my friends local as i was driving i had a coke. Well i was charged £2.80 for a can of coke and my friend was so embarrassed he refunded my money and this ruined my evening.

The toilets were disgusting and havent been cleaned for months. There is a chalkboard and at least two people and 'pleaded' with the barman to get the mop out and clean it.

My glass was also dirty and hadnt been cleaned.
Dont bother going into this pub its a disgrace. I would dare any one to eat in there.

Visited on a Wed afternoon at the end of March. delighted pub is open all day and staff very friendly. Beer was good with 6 real ales on so plenty of choice. Well kept they obviously know what they are doing. Yes pub is quiet no background music etc. Our only gripe is that there was no heating on. End of March, a rainy afternoon and we were sat with our coats on as were two other couples that came in. Even the bar staff had coats on! We would have stayed longer but were too cold. Com'on guys sort the heating out!
