The little boozer's a gem. It's a throw back to years ago, with excellent beer and decent grub (though food's only at lunchtimes and not on Sunday). There's no music, jukeboxes or silly slot machines. Just an above-average aged crowd enjoying decent beer. Go here for a quiet pint away from annoying younger drinkers. boodle - 13 Oct 2008 20:54
Lovely old fashioned local. Well-kept Greene King ales and excellent traditional food [if a bit basic]. Nice garden at the back which feels like you're sitting in a friend's garden. drmarkf - 15 Aug 2006 08:33
Everything below is true - the locals here are the stars - best Greene King you'll taste (best in summer in the garden) mtaylor40 - 21 Sep 2005 21:09
A lovely pub with one of the best gardens in Ely. Well kept and well well run, but can feel a bit s bit daunting for the "outsider", but still worth a visit. clivebutcher - 20 Mar 2005 19:48
An amazing pub, friendly, excellent beer, and the garden is the most beautiful I've been in. mikewmiller - 10 Dec 2004 17:17
